I tried editing a post, and it didn't 'save'.  Interestingly, if I edit the post, the edited text is there, just not in the displayed post.

Screencast: removed link

This is in Firefox.

So note when I edit, the text has two dots after 'impliment this' and the code is on three lines.  Annoyingly when doing the screencast any edits weren't saved but ... it's still annoying... 😉

Also, when adding/editing, the is a 'P' in the lower left corner of the edit box... seems to be a button but doesn't do anything if it gets clicked.

Oh, the screencast link got removed.  It was on Streamable ... is that a 'banned' site to link to?  <a title="Link to screencast" href=" removed link " target="_blank" rel="noopener"> removed link

Ignore - just read this is probably due to caching...

Thanks for signing up and thanks for your feedback, @chrisjlocke - apologies for the frustrations.

Now you've made a few posts, you should be able to post links/embeds.

Yes - edits aren't immediately displayed due to caching. This is only a small forum, so I'll look into improving this (as I find it frustrating too!)

'P' in the lower left corner of the edit box

Yes, unsure why this displays by default - it indicates the element - (P)aragraph, Div, etc.

Hopefully I've improved this now (by excluding all forums pages from Litespeed caching).

Looks like this is a WP default for the MCE text editor. If it causes confusion, I guess the field can be hidden, but it might be useful for advanced users in composing the occasional complex post?
