Hi All

im looking for some noise cancelling headphones/earbuds for sleeping.

my OH is a snorer and that limits my sleep, I have tried every type of phone earbud going but nothing drowns out the chainsaw noise next to me. My final resort is noise cancelling headphones or buds. I’ve seen sleep bands but reviews say the fall off or get too hot.

anyone else had this problem and managed to solve it?

Not sure if NC will be able to cancel out snoring, tbh. I remember reading that Bose and Sony offer the best active NC, but they are expensive.

I got the missus a pair of the highly rated CMF Buds 2 by Nothing, and upon switching them on while the train, her jaw literally fell open! 😁

They were £30 on Amazon Prime Day (currently ~£35-36) or direct from Nothing they are @ £29+3 del. (3.8% via TCB)

NB, counterintuitively: 2a < 2 < Plus

The Buds 2 deliver the most musical and addictive sound to my ears. That extra texture and energy make music feel vibrant. The 2 Plus are ANC kings – perfect for travel or noisy desks. The 2A punch far above their price for clarity and comfort.

You say you've tried every kind of earbud. Has the OH tried any sort of anti-snoring device? These devices seem to start very cheap based on the minute or two I spent googling.

I use the open plugs that you stick up your nose as the mrs complains that I snore. They do work as they keep the nose airways open, but I find they tend to fall out during the night. They do stay in long enough for her to get to sleep though.

Thanks guys, it’s a sensitive subject with her, she denies any type of snoring and won’t discuss it! Therefore I’m on the hunt for something that works…. Bose used to sell sleep buds but they are over £300. I’ve seen that Specsavers do molded plugs that are custom made to fit but I’m not sure how much they drown out.

I used wax plugs some years ago when there was noise for a couple of weeks.

I found them very effective.

Although they tell you to use fresh ones each day (which would be expensive), you can use each pair several times and can easily see when they get a little grubby.

Ive tried the wax ones too and didn’t find them too comfortable. I’m leaning towards getting some custom made plugs from Boots or Specsavers as they should block out most noise!

I think they are probably the gold standard.
