I'm only really happy with a 3 or less, and really only want to tell people if it's a 2.

If we are realistic, one and two are sheer good fortune, and even three needs at least some luck.

My first word is STARE, and, if the final word was, for example, LYMPH, there's virtually no chance of getting it in three, and four would be lucky.

It's a pity the don't provide a composite score as then at least you could compare your prowess with others. (It wouldn't be much use to me at the moment as I've used computer assistance a couple of times.)

Oh, getting it in one (which I've never done) is just sheer luck and nothing to shout about really. But I've had instances where I've been able to work out 2s rather than them being wild guesses. But whatever your score there's luck to factor in, either good or bad. I've had 4 greens after the second guess but lost because there are more possible solutions than turns remaining. I hate those.

My starter is very similar to yours, qpw: STEAL. Seems a decent blend of vowels and popular consonants and I'm not likely to change it.
