I enjoyed Beef on Netflix. Steven Yeun and Ami Wong are excellent in the roles of two stressed (for different reasons) participants in a road rage incident - which, since there are 10 episodes to fill, escalates. Well-drawn characters, very good cast all round, and the eps are just over half an hour each so no padding needed.
ooh yes ... looking forward to this! ?
His Dark Materials - very creative, beautifully rendered and realised worlds, with some excellent CGI creatures (the boss polar bear in particular was superb throughout, with a great intro scene). We found S1 just about interesting enough to start S2, which seemed a bit better.
My wife bailed, so I watched S3 on my own for completion - seemed darker, but very slow and dialogue heavy. Unusually throughout, there were lots of discussions about what had just happened, and what was going to happen, without just getting on with it.
Rarely for me, I had to watch the whole of S3 with my finger on FF. It's at least 2 hours too long, but there's still plenty to enjoy, although I'd kinda stopped caring. I am a fan of both James McAvoy and Ruth Wilson (excellent in Luther), but Ruth wasn't given anything challenging to do. Some of the other acting was a bit up and down. And I really didn't like the clumsy mushy final episode (which seemed designed to prompt conversations with your teen children ??)
Anyone else watching/watched A Town Called Malice on Sky?
Set in the 1980s, the Lord family is past their criminal heydays, but that does not mean they do not feel nostalgic for it. Gene, the youngest of the family, feels overlooked and neglected by his family who fail to recognise his intelligence and killer instincts. After narrowly surviving a gangland battle, Gene and his fiancée Cindy flee to the Costa del Sol, Spain to evade arrest and find themselves embroiled in the local underworld, desperately trying to avoid trouble. Things heat up even further when the rest of the Lords join them on the Costa del Sol and try to reclaim their halcyon days as criminal top dogs.
Great soundtrack, and fleeting appearance from Paul Weller in episode 1
Just finished Gordon From Account (iPlayer) Really liked it!
Does he work with Colin? I've thought of looking at that but am reluctant to in case I don't like it - it really bothers me that iPlayer doesn't allow you to remove stuff you don't want in the 'carry on watching' bit.

You can if you are logged in to the website version. There should be a 'manage full list' option over on the right of your 'carry on watching' list.
Thank you kindly... finally able to remove the dismal US version of Ghosts! ?

Good grief yes, it's dreadful!
