Celeb deaths to be expected now - Post by wasted » 22 Apr 2016 03:01
Since tv launched 60 years ago and the cult of celeb expanded, we are seeing more and more popular people dying these days.
But that's to be expected, since global media became more global, we all know many more famous people that are getting older, so we will see more famous people checking out. It will not stop now, as media people we have known since childhood are going to continue to die through normal means, in increasing numbers. It will forever be this way now.
We all grow old and die, those in the public eye are more noticeable 😢
David Warner, star of The Omen and Tron, dies aged 80

edit: can we have links and images in posts please?
I see the mis-titling of this thread has been carried over.
It's always seemed to be celebrity deaths that have happened, not one's to be expected.
If posts reflected the title it would be a bit creepy. ?
Or am I missing out on an 'in' joke?
hehe ... the explanation is in the OP, copied over from wasted's post back in 2016 - simply, we are all older now, so the people we grew up with on TV are 70+ and their upcoming deaths are expected/imminent nowadays ...
Bob Rafelson, best known for directing Five Easy Pieces, one of the very best early 70s films that also features one of Jack Nicholson's best performances.
One of my childhood heroes.
93, good innings.
ahh no, Bernard Cribbins.
Pants. Did wonder why there was a picture of him in my news feed. Always remember him reading The Hobbit on Jackanory.
