*yawn* as we've said before (back on TDF, when it really got on CJ's nerves ... hey, where is she?) the use of the cis- prefix is useful when discussing trans issues, as it avoids the clumsy terms "normal woman", "born female", "non-trans", "womb-havers", etc.
You don't agree trans women are women? > Currently, I feel the term 'trans women' is useful. However, I expect that over the next decade, things slowly will shift.
You don't agree with trans women in female's sport/prisons? > My current views are:
(1) up to the sports bodies to decide; there are edge cases that make this complicated.
(2) Prisons are a very special case, so go with genitalia (with increased safeguarding for all vulnerable inmates). But also, prisons do not work in many cases, and are overall damaging for society.
You don't believe in gender fluid? > Sure I do, although it's not something I've experienced myself. From what I've read, there can be a period of gender fluidity in adolescence. For older people, I suppose this would be more 'non-binary'? (OK, it's not - it's complicated!).
But - and I think I know why you're concerned about this - if an abuser wants to gain access to a female-only space, we've seen that he simply wears a high vis jacket and walks in (no need to dress as a woman).
You don't believe you can change sex? > No, I don't think this is possible, biologically. However, I do think that trans people should be able to live their life in peace as their chosen gender. So I can understand why many trans people would feel the need to legally change their sex, as the final stage of their transition, as per the GRA of 2004. Honestly, it does seem odd to me, but I don't feel strongly against the idea, so why not? It's been happening for decades.
You don't agree children should transition? > This depends on your definition of 'transition'. I do believe that a boy can live his life as a girl (as in 'How To Be A Girl') and that includes using the Ladies toilets. But I don't believe surgery should be an option for under-18s (is it ever offered in UK?); I'm still undecided on puberty blockers.
Well, they could be quietly just getting on with it ? This whole debate is heavily skewed by the shouty people on both sides. Besides, middle-aged women could simply start wearing gender-neutral clothes and would be pretty much under the radar. I know one woman who came out as a lesbian later in life, and the couple both dress casually in outdoor rambling-type clothes, short hair, no make-up. It's very different for a middle-aged man, who could easily end up looking like a drag queen!

Very watchable and slick, but I disagree with some points (and the TRAs will hate her). We can still call girls tomboys, but languages evolve.
I think the main thing to remember is that we're all on a spectrum (for everything).

This is absolutely the case. In the past, a lot of girls found themselves quite interested in what were considered typically 'boys' activities, yet were still perfectly feminine.
This is one reason why tolerance and understanding are far more important than obsessively taking sides.
Good grief ... it's all kicking off on Twitter !

But nowhere near as quickly as you do. π
Not sure where this was best placed, here or the politics thread, but here goes anyway:

Good grief ... as a self-identifying member of the Guardian-reading, tofu-eating wokerati, I have to say that ( ^ above) really is a load of (eloquently-written) nonsense!
Meanwhile ...
