It does seem very unfortunate that, although we correctly go to great lengths to protect children in many ways, there is precisely  no oversight, or checking, of new 'organisations' that spring up to, or older organisations that start focusing on, giving advice to children, many of whom maybe extremely vulnerable.

I'm not pointing the finger at any particular party - that is a job for a properly constituted official body, but from evidence presented here and elsewhere, it does seem that there are cases to consider.

Interesting argument, but I don't remember any left handed activists charities trying to convince someone who is dealing with the uncertainties of puberty that they should abandon their right hand (ooer!). And demanding more rights(!) than a right handed person. I realise it's mainly the more obnoxious vocal minority getting all the attention. Maybe they should just shut-up and people will naturally just accept it.

I think it doesn't address the real issue with "cancel culture". It's not that people can't still express their opinions, it's that there's no debate allowed. Ironically, GN has been cancelled for sharing his opinion.

But that is cancelling. Everyone who disagrees just piles on with the insults until you quit.

Being accountable is one thing, and that ties into the debate element. But instead of debate it's at best just instant disagreement without discussion, or at worst it's threats of death and rape.
