Local elections are coming up - don't forget you need to take photo ID with you to vote. Apparently, more than 25% of people still don't know about this, so be sure to chat to your relatives and neighbours.

More info about what you need, and how to apply for a 'certificate' if you need one -Β You need to complete your application by 5pm on 25 April 2023 to get a Voter Authority Certificate for the 4 May 2023 elections in England.

I've never been a fan of tactical voting, but desperate times need desparate measure, and apparently it could make a real difference ...

Anything to get rid of the tories.

The consequences of them getting another term would be disastrous.

I will be tactically voting as the party I would usually vote for have no chance of winning locally. Our local incumbent Conservative councillor is insisting that there is no link between local council and national politics.

Thank goodness for that.

It's weird the way that these things always get strung out.

It seems (although this may be caused by confirmation bias) that you can tell when someone (or some policy) is for the chop, even when everyone concerned is saying it or they are not

Tactical voting is the only way to vote these days - our system is broken

Yes, the stories often seem to gain momentum until the MP is squeezed so much he is forced to quit. They have no shame.

β€œIn setting the threshold for bullying so low, this inquiry has set a dangerous precedent” ? ... what an absolute plonker! Why the hell can't he just apologise and f-off ??

The aggressive 'Thick Of It' style bullying banter needs to stay in the 1970s - it's absolutely ridiculous in this day and age, and would get you sacked in any other workplace.
