Believe it or not, this is the first Owen Jones video I've watched (apart from a few socials clips) - I was going to FF thru it, but it's actually very well made and engaging ... The Tories, in their own words (apart from Andrew Marr who pops up right at the end). Subscribed.
Not sure if this really belongs here or its own thread. I was vaguely aware of the Israel/ Palestine issues, and that neither side has any claim to being on the side of "right", but this (7 year old) video gave me some extra info (seems Johnny Harris was part of the guys behind it and from what I've seen of his work, likely well researched):

I think it's quite embarrassing (though not surprising) how much the west is siding with the oppressors rather than trying to push for peace. Even Ukraine has done so, and they're basically Palestine in this conflict.
I would be very interested to hear how anyone can justify voting Tory next time.

I actually think the beeb have been pretty good in this so far. They're trying to report as neutrally as possible, but it's clear (to me anyway) that they see Israel as the root cause of the issues. And I can't believe they're not being called out for bombing Lebanon, just in case they were thinking of helping Gaza. The holocaust doesn't give them carte blanche to blow up anything and anyone "in defence", despite what they may think.

And as to Ireland, the IWM do a good series about it on Youtube. It's not pretty from a mainland UK perspective:
The Times (6k words) : HS2 secret files that expose a multibillion-pound cover-up
As the cost began to spiral, bosses allegedly shredded documents, sacked whistleblowers and used misleading projections to keep the scheme alive and the cash coming. The result was a βfraud against the British peopleβ
