I always wonder, when any politician (or party) says they are going to build an enormous number of new homes: "Who are you going to find to suddenly build new homes at a vastly greater rate that they were being built before?"

Reform are still rising in the polls.

Unless their support is unevenly distributed this should lead to them sharing the right-wing vote with a resultant massive reduction in tory seats. (And, one would hope, virtually no reform MP's.)

Yes, as much as I support PR as being a more fair system, I appreciate the benefits of keeping the fringes out of Parliament.

And it's quite something to see Farage at war with both Johnson and the DM !

Personally, I much prefer the single transferable vote system.

Firstly, it's far less likely to see Reform or other crackpot parties get seats.

Secondly, you can choose a popular candidate from a party unlikely to get many seats, with your second choice being the candidate from the party you would otherwise support.

The only downside is that it seems it's too complicated for some to understand. And that is a rather serious downside.
