Supported by a lying right wing media:
How gaffe-prone Andrew Bailey sent markets into another tailspin (msn.com)
So, you haven't been watching TV news, reading the papers, listening to the radio, ... or even reading your own posts?
Still, glad to have been of some assistance. Just try not to forget before you finish your breakfast. π

Latest 'all poll' figure is a 27 point lead for Labour over the tories.
Note for jezzer: No, I don't know if any right wing parties in the rest of the world are being similarly thrashed in the polls. π
Amazing results from GB News' own poll this morning ... the political tide really has turned!

^ well, I would never do anything like that. But it is behind glass, so no harm done - and of course we are talking about it now, so a #win for the protest! Plus, @JustStop_Oil now has me as a new follower! (I'd never heard of them).

He goes, she goes, it really feels like that's the only outcome. Just might take a little longer
Well, I can't guarantee you'll understand, but I'll try and make it easy.
- Russia cuts down the amount of gas available to Germany.
- Because of supply and demand, this causes the price to increase.
- Due to the interconnectedness of all things, this causes: a) Inflation B) Other prices (including rents) to rise.
- Interest rates rise to curb inflation.
- This makes mortgage rates rise.
- Therefore both rents and mortgages rise and you have a problem in the housing market.
Of course, we had similar problems here, initially together with everyone else, then to a far greater extent than for most other countries because we have a pair of idiots running the economy.
I think it's been explained already, but we have been affected by the war in Ukraine, as has the rest of Europe. It then went even worse for us once the mini budget was announced. Nobody is trying to say it's all been caused by the mini budget. The fallout of the mini budget is what has driven mortgage rates up in the UK. I'm not a leftie BTW.

And there is a difference between "effect" and "affect", you seem to mix them up and it alters the meaning of your posts.
