Trump’s 8 stages of guilty:
1. I didn’t do it
2. I didn’t do anything wrong
3. I didn’t do anything illegal
4. The people accusing me are guilty
5. The law is illegal
6. Prove it!
7. What happened didn’t happen
8. It’s fine, I did it; I’ll do it again

The worst thing is that, apparently, over 100m people buy into his crap.
I hope there were plenty of people shouting "Lock him up, lock him up"
There is a German word: Backpfeifengesicht
It means: A face deserving of a fist.
Just saying.
Yet another US mass shooting last night.
WTF must it be like to live in a country where you wake up to hear of multiple people having been murdered, and it's just a standard everyday event?
If it were any other country, people would consider it a basket case on that basis alone.
So many yesterday the news is having to differentiate by number of people injured / killed.
Meanwhile at one of the NRA annual meetings this weekend:

Yet another US mass shooting last night.
So common these days, that either: (1) I didn't see/hear a mention, or (2) I mentally tuned it out of both BBC radio news, and my socials.
It's pretty mind-blowing that kids are trained what to do, in the event this happens at their school.
Meanwhile at one of the NRA annual meetings this weekend:
Crazy that the NRA has so much power and influence. Big business + right-wing politics is killing the planet (literally).
Another factor is American TV/film (and gaming) - guns are commonly added as a source of excitement and tension, and are so often glorified - lazy writing, and I've got bored of it in recent years (even going back to Inception's ridiculous snowy shootout).
This statistic always amazes me - the accessibility of guns means it's a common method of suicide. Without such an easy route out, it's very likely that many of those people would have not gone through with it via any other means. But this is the hidden tragedy, whereas the mass events get most media attention.
And then of course there's >
JFC ... words absolutely fail me ... ?
... a 16-year-old, who accidentally rang the door of the wrong address, was shot in the head…

2023 is just 106 days old. According to the Gun Violence Archive, there have been at least 162 mass shootings, where "at least four people are shot, excluding the shooter".

I had a discussion in a Youtube comments section about those GVA stats. They Americans weren't interested, instead arguing that the guns were preventing the knife crime that we have in the UK. I suppose from a certain point of view, that's correct - why bring a knife if you can have a gun. They also seemed to think that we have mass knife attacks all the time, and simply refused to believe the number of mass shootings there had been (stats manipulated to make it look worse than it was end the like). Shooting is too good for them ;).
This is amazing news ! I really thought that Fox would hire top lawyers to string it out for a decade and fight it to the death.
Fox News has settled a defamation lawsuit from voting machine firm Dominion and agreed to pay $787m (one of the biggest ever financial settlements in a defamation case.)
Dominion still has outstanding cases against Fox rivals Newsmax and OAN, plus several Trump associates.
Fox News faces a second lawsuit from another election technology firm, Smartmatic, which is seeking $2.7bn.
