The original DVD forums was just that - DVDs (well at the start).

How do people own content now?

During COVID was the time when I moved to digital for films. I moved fully to Apple TV store (already in the Apple eco system anyway). I boxed up loads of blu rays and they went to music magpie or CEX (shops were shut at that time). I kept some which are not on streaming. But my main collection is Apple, with some discs and then Plex runs some content that you can't really buy.

I have an OLED tv and Apple films in 4K HDR are impressive to me.

Interesting that you kept some discs - are there any that you now regret letting go ?

One thing I do wish is that I hadn't collected so many discs over the decades - not crazy amounts, only 200 dvd and 200 cd in total, and I never went to blu.

I realised way too late that I hardly ever rewatch anything ! And of course those Star Wars OT VHS tapes were long since relegated with each subsequent format.

Only a few - which I then purchased again! DVD and blu ray did have some great extras, which are not really a thing anymore.
