Nitesh Tiwari's two-part Ramayana adaptation (Diwali 2026) has been shaping up to be one of the biggest Indian productions ever — Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and that first teaser did absolutely insane numbers on YouTube, breaking viewing records within hours of release.

What I'm most curious about is the VFX. DNEG and some Oscar-winning effects talent are reportedly involved, and the film is being shot for IMAX. After the way Adipurush went down, it feels like this production is going out of its way to say "we're taking this seriously" — practical sets, proper pre-vis, the works.

Do we know much about the runtime yet? If it's genuinely two full parts this could be India's answer to a big-budget mythological epic with LOTR-scale ambition. Fingers crossed the next teaser shows more actual effects shots rather than just title cards and music.
