Anybody updated to WP 6.0 ? Few problems so far (main WP forum), although I've not taken the plunge yet.
As always, ensure you have backups (cPanel/server host method is by far the best), and update themes and plugins first, then WP.

If you have a very niche/custom site, here are the bugs so far scheduled for fixing in 6.0.1 (no release date set).
I've started to move some sites away from Wordpress to static HTML pages instead (and used a generator like Hugo)

No one else on here with this issue, starting from a couple of months back ?
TLDR; June updates not installing, hoped for fix in July updates, but not so. Need to reinstall windows OR play with .NET.

I've been dealing with this issue for 1-3 months. Tried everything I found on the internet.
Today I downloaded and reinstalled 3 .net framework applications and restarted my computer, thinking it would be just another of hundreds of attempts so far. Nope. Smooth as butter. All updates are now caught up.
Even if they're on your computer, run these installers. Repairing them doesn't work the same.[1] .NET Framework 4.8 Runtime [2MB] >

There's a known minor issue with the latest Win11 update - your sys tray security shield icon displays a warning triangle, related to :
Local Security Authority protection is off (but it's on)
The official MS line is - they are aware of the issue, so for now just reboot and if the message persists, just dismiss it (there's also a registry hack, but I've not bothered).
Anyone update and maintain websites ?
Just a heads-up: looks like the Twitter API will be a paid feature going forward (thanks, Iron Tusk!) so any free plugins that display your twitter feed will have stopped working (or likely will do very soon).
Weirdly, one plugin was fine, but my Feed Them Social plugin objected so strongly to the news, that it took down the homepage on one site!
So I've built another Wordpress site, as I wanted to teach SQLite but make it also a 'members only' area. Wordpress seemed a quick 'n easy choice to get that up and running.
However, its been a while since I last used Wordpress.
Is there a good set of plugins people (hello Driver8) can recommend. I used to use 'better-wp-security' (iThemes security?), contact-form-7, litespeed cache and updraft plus.
Are there better ones to install these days, or other ones to lob in?

Hi @chrisjlocke ? Yep - those plugins you mention are still current and recommended.
