?️ To keep up with a more right-wing perspective, I do enjoy a dose of Geoff Norcott. His recent chat with lefty Mark Steel was a recent highlight.
Steel's What the F*** Is Going On is on-going, and his excellent In Town series is back on R4 (note the iPlayer eps are an extended 45 mins long).
BBC's Americast is back with new presenters (Justin Webb, Sarah Smith, Marianna Spring, The Zurch) - it's pretty good, but of course the main draw was Maitlis and Sopel, who have now gone rogue and started their own podcast The Newsagents, with a much broader remit (and all the better for it, given UK events of the last 2 weeks).
This is good fun! The guys from Arrested Development chat with Ewan McGregor >
Excellent episode of an always excellent series from World Service - knowledgeable guests, engaged questioning, and tightly edited.
The Real Story: What is economic growth and why does it matter?
The IMF has downgraded global growth forecasts warning “the worst is yet to come”.

I had literally no idea who Tate was, till his run-in with Greta, so this is a good recap from the all-round excellent (too good for Sky) Niall Paterson >
My annual listening totals for the whole of 2022 now look weird to me, cos I've not listened to RHLSTP for over 6 months ! I started RHLSTP during lockdown from the very start, but when I got to lockdown time for the podcasts, either the novelty was wearing thin, or they weren't as engaging without his live theatre audience.
I enjoyed VCM on Taskmaster, and her turn on OFF MENU is also very funny.
My 2 favourite left-wing voices - Mark Steel chats to JO'B for a whole hour.
Gets off to a slow and giggly start, but settles down after a few minutes.
My Fern Brady ? obsession continues with this excellent episode from a very good NSFW sweary series by Kathy Burke ? >
Plenty LOLs and sex-cringe! Plus the best podcast title of the week!
