Yes, that was the song I was thinking of.

Weirdly, there actually does appear to have been a song from the sixties called 'Funky Chicken', but I'd never heard it, nor heard of, it.

Seems there's also a Jackson 5 song "How funky is your chicken?". And I remember that phrase from the cheerleading in the Buffy movie.

I remember the Funky Gibbon, it was The Goodies (a goody goody yum yum). I almost went the song route with the primate-free Ashes to Ashes; but I didn't.
