hehe ... it's interesting that you thought this way @qpw3141 ... I thought he got absolutely roasted!

2024 Presidential candidate, Vivek Ramaswamy is humiliated as voter unleashed a brutal rant.

“Let's talk about your lack of job qualifications. You're definitely not qualified to run the highest office of our nation. Just a few years ago, we all saw firsthand the disastrous results when a ruthless capitalist, a scam artist, a showman and a liar could, with no public service experience, became the president of the United States. And yet we are here again ... spewing nonsensical fast-talking empty words interspersed with name dropping should not be misconstrued as knowledgeable.”

the time limit had expired, and then dump the typed text

Look out for 'Revisions' (alongside Preview / Save draft) ... it's saved me a couple of times!

Oh dear.

That was caused by finding it hard to hear the initial speaker. I heard: "Let's talk about your lack of job qualifications. You're definitely not qualified to run the highest office of our nation.", and didn't register the rest.

Obviously (now) she said exactly what I thought she should have said.

I still think (without any prior knowledge) he responded well. Of course, once you know he's some grifting nut-job 'weird' theorist with as much chance of election as Ross Perot, it all becomes clear.

(Does anyone else have problems with the vast range of sound levels on video clips? It seems to range from inaudible to deafening, but that is never mentioned in the comments [where these exist]. It's sometimes so bad the the autogenerated subtitles just give up.)

Jesus Harold Christ!

Jut when you think he can't sink any lower ...

I've a feeling he might just have lost himself a few million votes.

The loony right will accept a lot from that jack-ass, but disrespecting American troops may be a step too far, even for them.

Unfortunately he said all of that whilst he was PotUS and it clearly made little difference to his core supporters.

Yes, those were quotes from a few years ago.

This week, he's amped up to full-on fascist ...

WP: Trump calls political enemies ‘vermin,’ echoing dictators Hitler, Mussolini - On Veterans Day, Trump vowed to “root out” his liberal opponents with rhetoric reminiscent of authoritarians

Trump pledged to “root out the Communists, Marxists, Fascists, and Radical Left Thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country”

Maybe they were not widely disseminated at the time. (Obviously, I've no idea, but it's unusual for US Americans not to react badly to disrespect for their troops.)

If his comments are collected and become more widely known, they may have some effect.

Th only one I don't think I've seen before was the one asking why someone became a marine as they were clever. These were from the time where he'd said that he could walk up to someone in the street and shoot them and his supporters would still vote for him.

Excellent 6 mins ...

And as that video is 3 months old, this article brings things up to date >

https://heathercoxrichardson.substack.com/p/november-13-2023

Those on the Right believe that most people don’t know what’s good for them, making democracy dangerous. They think the majority of people must be ruled by their betters, who will steer them toward productivity and religion.

The Right pushes the idea that their opponents are “Radical Left Thugs” trying to tear down the system because they know liberal policies like Social Security, Medicare, environmental protection, reproductive rights, gun safety legislation, and so on, are actually quite popular.
